How it works
How a ShowerShroom goes into each drain
Five drains, five short routines. None of them needs a tool beyond, sometimes, a screwdriver.

Take the stopper out: pop-up and lift-and-turn stoppers lift or unscrew, a toe-touch stopper unscrews from the top.

Drop the TubShroom into the opening. Its cap rests on the crossbar or the rim, just below the tub floor.

Run the water and let the tub drain as usual; the hair winds around the stem.
Once a week, lift it out, pull the hair off with a tissue and rinse it. Close the drain with a StopShroom when you want a bath.

Take off the round flat cover of the drain; some lift, some have a screw in the middle.

Set the ShowerShroom Ultra in its place, catcher side down, so the plate sits flat in the floor.
Shower as usual: water goes through the plate and the hair collects on the catcher below it.
Lift the plate out once a week, wipe the catcher and set it back.

Lift or unscrew the grate and measure the opening under it: about 2 inches is the Stand-Up size.

Drop the ShowerShroom Stand-Up into the opening and put the grate back on top.
Lift the grate once a week, pull the catcher out by its cap and wipe it.

Lift the pop-up stopper out, or unhook the rod under the basin that holds it.

Measure the opening: the SinkShroom takes 1 to 1.4 inches, the Ultra up to 1.5 with its adapters.
Drop the catcher in and run the tap.
Wipe it once a week; toothpaste and trimmings collect along with hair.

Lift the old basket strainer out of the drain.

Set the Kitchen SinkShroom in its place, center stem up.
When the basket is full, lift it by the stem and tip the scraps into the trash.
Before the catcher goes in
If the water already stands in the tub or the basin, clear the drain first: a catcher keeps new hair out, it does not loosen the mat that is already there. A hand snake pulls that mat out without chemicals. If you have poured a drain cleaner recently, wear gloves and goggles when you open the drain, as Poison Control advises for anyone handling these products, and do not mix two cleaners.
If the water drains slowly
A catcher full of hair slows the flow; that is the signal to clean it. If the drain is slow with a clean catcher in it, the clog is further down the pipe, and that is a job for a snake or a plumber.
