For drains that see hot water and a scrub brush
Stainless steel is the choice for a drain you scrub with a brush or rinse with very hot water: the kitchen sink first of all, where the Kitchen SinkShroom basket replaces the old strainer and lifts out by its center stem. It comes plain, with a stopper, with a built-in pop-up stopper, and in two-packs and six-packs.
In the bathroom, the three Ultra catchers cover the shower, the tub and the sink, and the SinkShroom Combo Edition pairs a stainless catcher with a StopShroom for the basin. the ShowerShroom collection keeps the silicone catchers for drains where a soft rim helps the fit, and steel for the rest.

Questions
ShowerShroom stainless steel drain catchers: your questions
Can you put a stainless ShowerShroom in the dishwasher?
Most people rinse it under the tap, which takes less time than loading it. The steel catchers have no soft parts that a hot rinse would harm; follow the sheet in the box for anything beyond that.
Is a stainless ShowerShroom better than a silicone one for your drain?
Not better, different: steel suits the kitchen and drains you scrub, silicone suits a tub drain where the soft rim settles into the opening. Pick by the drain, then by the material.
