Three kinds of shower drain, three ShowerShrooms
Look down at the drain while the water is off. If the floor has a round, flat cover about 4 inches across, the ShowerShroom Ultra replaces that cover: it is a stainless plate with the catcher hanging under it, in stainless or matte black. It is not for bathtub drains, whatever the tub looks like.
If you have a stand-up stall with a square or round grate screwed or pressed into the floor, the opening under the grate is usually about 2 inches wide. That is the drain the ShowerShroom Stand-Up is made for: the catcher goes under the grate and the grate goes back on top. Measure the opening first; the Stand-Up is not for tub or sink drains.
If nothing on the drain comes apart, the Stealth sits over the drain instead, 5.5 inches wide, and you flip its top inside out to wipe the hair off. The Toss mesh covers stick on top of the drain and get peeled off and thrown away every two or three weeks. the ShowerShroom line started with the stall drain, and the shower is still the drain the name is about.

Can you use the ShowerShroom Ultra in a bathtub?
No. The ShowerShroom Ultra replaces the round cover of a 4 inch flat shower drain. For a tub, look at the TubShroom catchers.
How do you know if your shower drain is a 2 inch stall drain?
Lift or unscrew the grate and measure the round opening under it. If it is about 2 inches across, the ShowerShroom Stand-Up fits under the grate.
What if your ShowerShroom drain cover is screwed down?
A screwdriver usually takes it off. If you would rather not open the drain at all, the Stealth sits over it, or a Toss mesh cover sticks on top.
