About ShowerShroom
ShowerShroom has been making drain hair catchers since 2017: 9 years of one idea applied to every drain in the house.

One idea
Hair goes down a drain with the water and catches on whatever is down there: the crossbar, the stopper rod, the bend of the trap. A flat strainer on top stops some of it and leaves a mat you can see and step on. A ShowerShroom goes the other way. It sits a little below the surface, inside the drain, so the water runs around its cap and the hair winds itself around the stem underneath. Once a week you lift it out and wipe the hair off.
One catcher per drain
Drains are not one size, and that is why the family has so many names. TubShroom is cut for bathtub drains from 1.4 to 1.75 inches, SinkShroom for bathroom sinks from 1 to 1.4 inches, Kitchen SinkShroom for the kitchen basket, and ShowerShroom for the shower: a plate for a 4 inch flat drain, and a catcher for the 2 inch opening under a stall grate. StopShroom closes any of them when you want water to stay, and DrainShroom clears the clog that got there first.
The Ultra versions do the same in stainless steel and bring adapters for drains that fall between sizes. The chrome editions match a chrome or nickel drain. The Toss catchers and mesh covers are for anyone who would rather throw the hair away than touch it.
What a catcher does for your drain
Measure the opening before you order: each product page gives the drain width the catcher fits and, where it matters, the drains it will not fit. Once it is in, your drain still wants a minute a week. The catcher keeps new hair out of the pipe, you lift it out and wipe the stem, and the water keeps moving.
