A basket you lift by the stem
The Kitchen SinkShroom replaces the basket strainer in a standard kitchen sink or garbage disposal opening, about 4.4 inches across. Its center stem stands high enough that a pot set down in the sink does not seal the drain, and you lift the basket out by that stem to tip the scraps into the trash.
Pick the plain strainer, a strainer with a stopper for filling the sink, a 2-in-1 version with a pop-up stopper built in, or a two-pack or six-pack for a double sink and a spare. the ShowerShroom line makes it in stainless steel, with a matte black version that has its own stopper.
